Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and other similar wireless device uses radio instead of wires to transfer data back and forth between computers on the network. Wi-Fi is commonly used wireless network in computer systems to connect to the Internet or other machines that have Wi-Fi functionality. WiFi phone is a cordless phone that looks like a cell phone, but placing a call through a combination of voice over IP, and not via WiFi wireless network.
